Denise C. Pough
Specializing in combining lifestyle, personal needs, and the space you live in to create a home that is uniquely yours.
My motto “let your space reflect your lifestyle”
From a studio apartment to a sprawling suburban mansion there is no space too small or too large.
I enjoy creating functional, workable spaces, throughout the home, especially in kitchens and bathrooms. I love the challenge of designing with all the necessities and luxuries others couldn't imagine.
Space planning and floor plan layouts are all part of my design process. This is where I create effective and functional spaces that are also aesthetically pleasing.
My Inspiration for the luxurious...
Feeling pampered in your own home, like you would at a favorite hotel, and still knowing that your family and guests can feel welcome and comfortable, is something each of us deserves and is at the heart of everything I create.
My inspiration is rooted in my years in the hotel industry. Having worked at The Sky Club, The Waldorf Astoria, and Leading Hotels of the World’s Boutique Hotel Division created a love for creating spaces that are luxurious and modern, as well as absolutely comfortable and livable.
My passion for Design started with my home...
While living on the West Coast, I took charge of the renovations in our California home. This allowed me to tap into my creative skills and heightened my interest in the field of Interior Design. I did not realize then that developing my interior design practice would become my life's passion.
Really tapping into what I wanted to do, I began to study professionally and earned certificates in interior design from Bergen Community College in New Jersey and the New York Institute of Art & Design. I also achieved my Residential Interior Design Qualification Certification (RIDQC) to become a certified interior designer.
Aside from my time in the hospitality industry, I have been a partner with my husband, overseeing our real estate management company, which has allowed me to broaden my knowledge in real estate and given me the experience as an entrepreneur.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management (Pace University), and a Master’s Degree in Marketing (New York Institute of Technology). I am an Allied Member of American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), National Kitchen & Bath (NKBA), Interior Design Society (IDS), and a member of Jack and Jill of America, Inc.
I am living happily in Bergen County, New Jersey with my husband and two young adult children. My love and experiences of traveling, reading, visiting museums and gardens are more than hobbies. They add to the professionalism I desire. Add that to my love of engaging with friends, uplifting those around me, and clients always know how much I value them.
